6th Annual Big Homie Day 2025
Big Homie Day 2025 was a powerful day of impact, mentorship, and community collaboration. In partnership with the Salvation Army Kroc Center and Salvation Army Bellwood, Big Homies United brought together more than 200 youth from across the community for a day focused on inspiration, education, and opportunity.
Throughout the event, participants were connected with over 30 mentors, known as "Big Homies," who shared guidance, encouragement, and real-life experiences to help young people navigate their future. Youth had the opportunity to rotate through seven interactive stations and activities designed to promote leadership, teamwork, personal development, health, and career exploration.
In addition to mentorship and educational programming, all attendees received free food and enjoyed a safe, engaging environment where meaningful connections were formed. Big Homie Day 2025 served as a reminder that when communities come together, lives can be impacted and futures can be changed.
